Burtonport archipelago islands half day sea kayak tour. This tour covers less distance and has more sheltered paddling then our full day tours and takes us around the outstanding natural beauty that this archipelago of islands has to offer. Explore the many islands and skerries within this diverse marine environment with rocky coves and remote beaches around every corner. We always stop off along our sea kayak journey on one of the Islands, So please bring along a drink and some snacks for the stop off.

No previous kayaking experience is required to come on our half day tour but it is best if participants have a good level of fitness and water confidence to take part.

We supply all necessary equipment required for the tours, including wetsuits, footwear, paddling jackets and safety helmets. Wetsuit sizes go up to size XL, and the max paddler weight limit for the sit in touring sea kayaks is 95kg. 

• We only use single sit inside sea kayaks as seen in the accompanying pictures for our Burtonport Island tours. 
• Max paddler weight limit to use the sea kayaks is 95kg ( 15st ).
• Minimum age for the half day tour 13 years old.
• The price of a half day guided sit-in sea kayak tour (approx. 3- 3.5hrs) is €60 per person (a deposit may be required) and we can supply you with all the equipment needed for a tour including wetsuits, footwear and safety helmets.
• Max group size for a half day tour is 10 people.
• The sea kayak tours are weather dependent.

All you are required to bring along with you is your swimwear, snack/drink and a towel.

All instructors are fully updated, trained, qualified and insured.

The locations where the half day sea kayak tours start from have good parking facility’s but do not have changing facilities. Please note that we do not start our half day tours from the main harbor Burtonport. Tours start from smaller slipways to the north and south of Burtonport main harbour. The final venue and start time is chosen closer to any tour date once we have a better idea of the prevailing weather and sea conditions for that day ( wind, tide and swell. )
